“Central Sector Scholarship 2020” :

The “Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students 2020 (Central Sector Scholarship 2020)” is implemented by the Department of Higher Education since 2008. The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the meritorious students, to meet a part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies. “Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students 2020 (Central Sector Scholarship 2020)” is a merit-cum-means scholarship scheme.

Eligibility conditions  “Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students 2020 (Central Sector Scholarship 2020)” :

● Students who are above 80th percentile of successful candidates in the relevant 

stream from a particular Board of Examination in Class XII.

● Pursuing regular course.

● Having family income of less than Rs.6 lakh per annum.

● Not receiving any other scholarship.

● Students of SC, ST, OBC, and PWD will get a reservation of 15%, 7.5%, 27%, and 5% respectively.

Amount and Duration of “Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students 2020 (Central Sector Scholarship 2020)” :

Central Sector Scholarship awards the amount 82,000 scholarship every year, among 50% of the scholarship is granted for the girl candidates and the remaining for the boy students. Given below are the benefits of the Central Sector Scholarship 2020.

• The graduates will be provided with an amount of Rs.10,000 for 1st three years of graduation.
• The graduates will be awarded Rs.20,000 per annum in the 4th and 5th years.
• The student of post-graduation will be issued with an amount of Rs.20,000 per year.
• If the student is pursuing B.Tech, B.Engg., the scholarship is given up to graduation level.

Before registering on the National Scholarship Portal, students are advised to keep the following documents ready with them 

(i) Bank Passbook for filling bank details 

(ii) Aadhaar card No. 

(iii) Parental income certificate 

(iv) A valid mobile number 

(v) An e-mail ID 

(vi)Caste certificate wherever required 

(vii) Disability certificate wherever 

required. 

After filling the personal details students are required to select “Post-Matric”

option from the drop down menu, and select the “Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students”.

•  Now, Take a copy of the application form for future reference.

Renewal Application Process of “Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students 2020 (Central Sector Scholarship 2020)” :

•  Students must have at least 50% in previous exams.
•  The attendance of the candidate should be at least 75%.
•  Candidate should not be involved in any undisciplined activity.
•  Students can apply to NSP for the renewal of the Central Sector Scholarship 2020.
